Rainbow KindergartenA good school is one, which parents want to send their children. From a teacher's point of view, there is nothing as exciting as a child who suddenly sees the light and you can witness the joy of learning in his/her eyes. We believe
We desireTo strengthen each child's own cultural identity, while instilling a respect for others who might be different. We striveTo create mutual respect between parents and kindergarten teachers.

News and EventsBack to Kindergarten 7th January 2013 Monday.
Young children can often feel confused by their new surroundings, new routines and new faces. It can be difficult for some children to accept new teachers and to understand that you will return later in the day. However, children are very adaptable and usually within a short period of time they are able to settle in. Every child is different and the time it takes them to settle can vary greatly, that is why we look at each child's individual needs while they are settling in to their new class.
Over the first theme, children will be talking about what they do at home with their family, getting to know their teacher and friends. Singing songs, listening to stories that they can relate to and playing with toys where they are given the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions. As a parent, when you ask about their day, children often respond with 'nothing'. Try asking more descriptive questions as you are more likely to get a more detailed response. For example, ask 'What books did you read in school today?' or 'What did you do at art today?' or 'What did you sing at school today?' Chinese New Year is just around the corner, 10th February and I'm sure many children will be helping with the preparations. Just a reminder that the Kindergarten will be closed from the 11th of February until the 17th February. Children will be celebrating 'Chinese cultural day' at the kindergarten on the 22nd February, Friday. Please feel free to post on our [Rainbow Kindi] Facebook page photo's, stories and happenings. We look forward to sharing them with the children as we will be sharing with you, what they are doing at the Kindergarten. Chinese New Year 2013
